God Asked Me To Release A Blessing Over You!

[00:00:18] All right. [00:00:19] Hey, this is Shannon Williams, and this is the Grayson Grit Mindset podcast. [00:00:27] And today I am excited because I'm feeling like the Lord wanted me, or wants me, rather, to release a blessing over you. [00:00:38] Isn't that cool? [00:00:41] I was thinking yesterday, just because my husband and I spend a lot of time in. [00:00:47] We don't spend a lot of time in prayer, but we do spend time in prayer together in the mornings. And you guys, if you've been listening to me for a while, you know that I talk about it a lot, and it's super special to us. And it's not like every single day is like this mountaintop experience with God. That would be great, wouldn't it? But it's not, you know, sometimes it's just kind of like, you know, just kind of a normal interaction, I mean, or like, I don't. We don't really hear a lot from the Lord, but sometimes we have visions. Sometimes we have a real strong word we feel like from him. And anyway, yesterday when we were praying, I was thinking immediately of that song, the Blessing, that Carrie Jobe and her husband Cody Carnes, released during COVID I think, which they pulled from number six 24. [00:01:36] And I just was thinking about that kind of all day long and singing that to myself. And then today felt like the Lord said, I want you to release a blessing over the people that are listening. Because if you are listening now, this week has been insane in our government. There's a government shutdown. There's some. [00:02:01] There were some elections that, to be quite honest, most of us are not happy with the results of some of those elections. And like with New York City, and then, you know, we have a. They have a Muslim mayor now, and that's pretty terrifying, to be honest with you. [00:02:19] For most of us Christians, we don't take that lightly. And I know we've been praying a lot, and it kind of feels like, where are you, God, and what is happening right now? [00:02:31] And I think we can get caught up in being scared. There's a lot of people who are not getting their benefit, their government benefits that they need, whether it be military or veterans or whether it be people who need their SNAP benefits and they can't get them, or all kinds of people. You know, the FAA and all of the people that work in the airports and the airplanes in that industry, they're going without pay. A lot of them are right now. And it's way understaffed at the airports. It's really quite terrifying. I actually was supposed to go somewhere next week And I canceled the flight just because I just didn't have peace in my heart. [00:03:09] Some of the things that are coming out about the. [00:03:15] The industry, that. The air industry, I don't know what else to call it, but there's just some really bad reports coming out that things are not safe, but it's being covered up. [00:03:25] And there's a lack of safety because there's not enough people there to run the equipment and check things and all the things that have to happen with airplanes, you know, to keep people safe, the air traffic control and all that. So it's really. [00:03:38] It's really scary, especially if you don't know the Lord or if you are a person that's easily caught up in anxiety and you know a lot of what's going on, even though it may not affect you directly, because a lot of this doesn't necessarily affect me directly, but it's still. You can feel everyone in society's on edge, terrified. There's riots everywhere. People are burning stuff down. [00:04:02] There's all these explosions and plane crashes and things going on. And it can feel like, what in the world, Lord? I mean, you did. We don't feel safe. We don't feel like. Like, when is the other shoe gonna drop? Is something bad about to happen? [00:04:19] Because I do. To be honest with you, I do have that kind of sense in my heart that something globally that is not good is. We're on kind of the skirts of that maybe that happening. And I hate to say that, but it is something I feel and have been feeling for a while, and maybe you do too. And so that's causing you to live in a very survivalist way, you know, And I wanted to go on today because a lot of times, you know, when I have these messages, I jump on here. A lot of times I do prepare a little bit, but a lot of times I don't. A lot of times I just push play and I just let the Lord say whatever he wants to say. [00:04:58] Because with the prophetic gift I've been given, if I try to, like, think about it too much or put the message together, I completely mess it up and get in his way. So I felt like he just wanted me to push play and he wanted me to release a blessing over you because he does not. [00:05:14] And hear this as the word of the Lord. He does not want you living in fear right now. He does not want you worried about not having enough. [00:05:23] You are not going to be in lack. You are not going to be unsafe. [00:05:28] You are not going to be neglected. You are not going to be forgotten about. [00:05:32] The evil things that Satan has planned are not going to come near you or your family. And I'm going to read Psalm 91 over you as well. But I want to first of all just say to you that releasing the blessing is a very biblical thing to do. [00:05:49] When you look all through scriptures and it starts and you see it first in numbers where God commands Moses to tell Aaron to release the priestly blessing over the people. And I'm going to read that to you in just a minute, but I wanted to give you some context about it. But you also see this releasing a blessing or sometimes strong words against people from prophets. But a lot of times you do see the blessing of God being released by a prophet over people. [00:06:21] And I just feel like there's power in that. I know that it works. I've been raised in those environments where there were prophetic people in my church and whenever God told them to do this, they would release the blessing over the people. And I'm telling you, things would start to happen left and right. People would get jobs, whatever might be going on in their life. God would fulfill his word. As a matter of fact, as I'm saying all this, I just want to. And please hear my heart. I do not consider myself a huge prophetic voice by any means. I'm like a minor, minor, minor, minor, minor, minor, minor prophet. [00:07:04] I don't even know if I would even be on the scale at all, seriously. But most of the time I operate in the prophetic is more so with like intercession and prayer, but also with the way I write songs and books and things like that. But there are times in here lately as I get older, the Lord is having me pray and he's having me prophesy into the airwaves the things that he tells me to say. And I was actually doing that today on the way home. I actually have a headache because I was going into war warfare over our country, over our nation, over our state, over Texas, and just releasing the things that God was telling me to release and the things to say. [00:07:51] So here in my heart, I don't consider myself some kind of world prophet or international prophet or anything. I'm just a humble person who when God tells me to say something, I'm just going to say it. And I have this small platform. And if you're listening, then you must need to hear this. The Lord wants me to release this over you, that you are blessed by the hand of God, that He has good plans and intentions for you. That nothing the enemy can try to do or any weapon he tries to form against you is not going to prosper. God is on your side, and he does have a beautiful destiny for you. [00:08:28] That is from the Lord. And I remember about. [00:08:32] It's probably been 10 or 15 years ago, I went to a church and I knew the pastors there, and I knew them very well, actually. [00:08:42] And I was sitting in the back just trying to mind my own business, you know, and because they knew. I mean, these are, you know, people I know very well. And they knew that I was a musician and a singer, but also had a prophetic gift. But I didn't want to come into that place and be like, I have a word from the. The Lord, you know, but as I was sitting there on the. On the pew and the worship's happening and you know that you can feel the spirit stirring. And I just feel the Lord say, I want you to release a blessing over this church. And I just. I'm fighting. And I'm thinking, what? Like, I don't understand, you know, like, I've never done that publicly before. I don't understand what I'm doing. [00:09:19] And I mean, I'm like, probably early 30s, maybe even late 20s. I don't even remember. I don't know how long ago it's been, but so I just. I went up to the pastor and his wife and I just said, I feel like God wants me to say something. I feel like he wants me to release a blessing. And they were like, okay. And so I did. I really. I don't even know what I said, because that's the way the prophetic words works. I don't have a plan. [00:09:42] I don't rehearse it in my head. I try not to. I might have a general idea. But then the Lord takes over and he says what he wants to say. And so I just started, just open my mouth, you know, and the Lord just began to break poverty. He broke poverty off of the people of that church. It was a mindset that was keeping everyone broke and everyone living in this survival place where God is like, I have so much more for you, and I don't want you to continue living in fear and in this survival mindset, like, because God cannot take you to. To where he wants to take you, which is not survival, by the way. It is actually ruling and reigning and being in positions of authority in the earth. That's where he wants to take his body. We are not meant to be the bottom of the rung. [00:10:31] We're supposed to be leading things. We're supposed to have power because we can be trusted with this power rather than the wicked being in power and doing horrendous, corrupt things, evil things to people. [00:10:44] God wants his people in those positions. So anyway, I began to release that. I began to prophesy that people in the church were going to start getting jobs. [00:10:52] God was going to bless their finances and just. I don't know what all I said, but it was along those lines. And then, you know, of course, another week or two later, these things start happening. People start getting jobs. This happens, this happens. And they kind of just like in that season. I don't know what happened later. I think, of course, everybody gets hit by Satan after God releases a word, you know, Satan's gonna come in and try to destroy it. But I know that there was some breakthrough. That's what I'm trying to say. [00:11:21] Because God had me release that blessing. It wasn't because I'm powerful. It was because whatever we say, whenever we release the word of God, it accomplishes what it's been sent out to do. That is scripture. His words, never return void to him. [00:11:38] And so if he's saying to me, I want you to release the blessing, it's because he wants to bless you. And it's gonna happen. It's not going to return void to him. It's going to happen just as he said, it's going to happen. So with that being said, 12 minutes in, I want to read really quickly to you numbers 6, 24 through 28. [00:11:59] This is the Priestly. I'm sorry, it's 22. This is the priestly blessing. And this is what it says in that scripture. The Lord spoke to Moses, tell Aaron and his sons, this is how you are to bless the Israelites. You should say to them, may the Lord bless you and protect you. [00:12:19] May the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord look with favor on you and give you peace. In this way, they will pronounce my name for the Israelites, and I will bless them. [00:12:37] So as Aaron and the priest released that blessing, it was as if God was blessing the people of Israel and he wants to do the same for you. So I'm going to just read that blessing one more time over you. And if you're driving, don't close your eyes or anything, but if you're not, close your eyes. If you are driving, just. [00:12:59] Just really lean into this and hear the word of the Lord for you. May the Lord bless you and protect You. [00:13:07] May he make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. [00:13:13] May the Lord look with favor on you and give you peace. [00:13:17] That's what I release over you today is the blessing of the Lord for protection, the countenance, the gaze of the Lord being upon you like he's looking at you. That in and of itself is a revelation. [00:13:35] The God of the universe who can see everything all at once, from beginning to end, every person, everything that exists is saying, his face is looking at you right now, in this moment. He knows exactly what you're going through. [00:13:48] It's not hidden from him, and yet he wants to bless you and he wants to be gracious to you. This is the heart of God. The heart of God is to extend grace to people, not to bring judgment, to bring grace. He wants to bring grace to every area of your life, which grace, I think, is one of those misunderstood words. [00:14:08] For me, what I have come to learn grace to mean is it's the empowerment of God to do things that I could not do on my own. [00:14:18] He gives me a grace to do it. It's him operating through me. So God wants to give you a grace, to empower you to do the things that you cannot do on your own. [00:14:29] He also wants to look upon you with favor. He is looking upon you with favor. So if you've been saying things like, I'm never going to be blessed. I'm never going to get out of this financial hole. I'm always going to be poor. I'm always going to have this problem. I'm always going to have this health challenge. I'm never going to find the person I'm supposed to be with. I'm always going to cheated on. I'm always going to be neglected. I'm always going to be forgotten about. I could go on and on and on, guys. I'm always going to be passed over for a job promotion. I'm always going to be the one who doesn't get paid what they're worth. [00:15:02] I'm always going to be the one who gets the worst parking spot. [00:15:06] I'm always going to be the one who's waiting on their airplane and it gets canceled and delayed and delayed and canceled and delayed and delayed. Those kind of thoughts, you get what I'm saying? Like, Dozer, those are not God thoughts, right? [00:15:19] Like, you got to get on the same plane or the same level that God thinks God is never, ever thinking about you, that he wants to curse you or that he wants you to not be blessed. His thoughts toward you are always good. We know that with Jeremiah 29:11. He has. I was reading one translation. It says, he has marvelous thoughts toward us. Like these beautiful, amazing thoughts about how beautiful he wants to make your life. And there's no catch to it. He's not like saying, okay, I will do this for you if you do this for me. [00:15:53] Now we do things for him. We can never earn it back from him. We can never earn the blessing we can never earn. Or, you know, like, if he's giving us things we didn't earn, it we don't deserve it would be what I'm trying to say. We're never going to deserve it. [00:16:11] But we live in such a way that we live like, okay, because he's been so kind to me, he's loved me so much. How can I not give my life away to him? Right? That's what we do. But that's never the prerequisite. He's never saying, I will bless you and have favor on you if you do these things. [00:16:29] He has favor on us because that's just who he is. And he loves us. We are his children. I mean, do you love your children and just have favor on. Because they're just your children, right? He just loves us because we belong to him, because he's good. That's who he is. And the last part of this, he wants to give you peace. [00:16:48] Shalom, peace. This is like a whole. I gave a. [00:16:53] I think it was last week, maybe the week before, where I was talking about peace and shalom and what that means. But it's this beautiful way of, like, the shalom peace of God is so different than the world's peace. [00:17:06] It's like his peace is like the entire world is falling apart. But you're over here in the corner. You're totally great. You're fine. Maybe you're even laughing, laughing and smiling. And everyone else is like, oh, my gosh, what is about to happen? But you are great because you have the peace of God, and we have that. The Lord wants me to speak that over you today, that he has peace for you. He's extending that peace to you. Will you extend it? [00:17:33] Will you accept it? Or will you listen to the words of the enemy that are words of defeat, that are words of fear, that are words of lack, that are words of poverty, that God is going to abandon you just like every other man you've ever known. He's going to neglect you. You're going to have to do without. You're going to have to go take Care of yourself because you can't trust him. Those are all lies. [00:17:54] Those are all lies. [00:17:57] And I hope that just hearing the blessing of the Lord encourages you a little bit, because this is your God and this is what he wants to do for you. Now, I want to talk a little bit about, and I'm not going to go into the scriptures about it. I'm just going to tell you like what's been on my heart has been this idea and a lot of prophets are talking about this. So I'm not trying to be like the, you know, like, I thought of this or something. I didn't. I've heard it, but I've been feeling it in my spiritual. Let me say it that way. And that is this idea of Goshen. And I believe that, you know, as. [00:18:33] Here's where we are in the timeline, I believe we are in one of those situations where I believe Pharaoh, which obviously symbolizes Satan, is in the Antichrist regime of the Antichrist spirit that's trying to take over the earth, right? Which is all propagated by Satan. So he wants to take over the earth and he will not let God's people go. And God is saying right now, in this moment, let my people go. [00:19:02] Stop holding them hostage. [00:19:04] Stop with your corruption. Stop keeping them in bondage and slavery to the world system. The way the economy works, the way that the money is handled, the corruption that's happened at the top of the government, the things that are coming out right now are appalling. And there's so much more than that. God is. God is fighting this battle. [00:19:24] He is telling Satan, you're going to let my people go. So we're in this Egypt moment where we are kind of standing here watching God command him to let us go. And, and what's happening is Satan is like doubling down on us now. We're having kickback, we're having repercussions because God is, is moving us out of Egypt. But, you know, while these. And God starts to rain the plagues down right on Egypt, on Pharaoh's house, he's trying to kindly say, let my people go, but they won't. [00:20:04] So it gets worse. Every, every plague, the 10 plagues, every one of them gets worse until the very last one where it is the firstborn of Egypt, they're all. [00:20:15] The angel of death comes and kills all the firstborn males in Egypt. [00:20:21] And so that was not what God wanted. But Pharaoh wouldn't. He wouldn't acquiesce, I guess would be a good way to say it. So now God's like, okay, well, I'm gonna show you who's in control here. But during all the release of these plagues, God has his people in Goshen. Goshen was the place where. Where had been given by the pre. By the previous pharaoh that Joseph knew he had given the Israelites. When Joseph brings his family there, Jacob and his brothers and everything and their descendants come and live there. They are in Goshen. And so this was a place that was protected by God and it was also full of life. And so they had their cattle, they had crops, they. That could grow there. So as the plagues are raining down in Egypt, they are not touching Goshen. [00:21:14] That's the blessing of God, and that's what you need to hear as the plagues and the horrible things are going on. Because some of this is the judgment of God. [00:21:27] And it's the judgment of God because when you remove him from a country, when you remove him from places of government, there are repercussions, there are consequences for that. [00:21:39] Even though we are trying to get him back into our government, there are still places that are fighting tooth and toenail to keep him out. Places like New York, places like California. The godlessness that's going on in those places is. It's appalling and it's sickening. [00:21:57] But God is protecting us. He's protecting his people. He's keeping us in Goshen. He wants to you to know that you're provided for and that you're protected and that you don't have to worry about the things that are going on around you. And the temptation is going to be that you need to. That you need to get scared and you need to get caught up in everything. I would just. I would just encourage you to stop listening to the news like, you know, every once in a while. Listen to it. Don't listen to the critical, the radical, crazy left side. Don't listen to something conservative and moderate and get, you know, get the truth. Don't listen to crazy people who spin it in a negative light. [00:22:38] They're just breeding fear, which is the language of Satan. God does not speak in tones of fear. You are not supposed to be afraid. If you are afraid, then you are not listening to God. And he wants you to turn your face toward him and your ear toward him and stop listening to Satan, Stop listening to the world. Stop listening to other people who maybe don't walk with him. He wants to remind you that you are in Goshen and He is there and he's taking care of you. The time will come when he will lead us out of Goshen. He will lead us into something new. And that is coming. He is changing our government radically. And it may seem like it's taking forever, but honestly, if you look over the past four years, so much has happened just in the last year, what God has done, he's going to continue to do that. He is completely uprooting things and turning them on their head. And we as believers, we need to continue to pray and partner with him. This is our job to partner and intercede and release what he says. Bind Satan, bind principalities, bind these demonic forces that are trying to do things. But release what God is saying, what he wants done in these. In these places. You know, I have found myself saying things I had no idea were happening. You know, God would have me release things. Like I think today I was saying, God was saying, the silver and the gold is mine. [00:23:56] The silver and the gold is mine. [00:24:00] You will not withhold it. I mean, these were the things that were coming out of my mouth because it has to do with what's happening is the. [00:24:08] The Democrats are holding con or the Senate hostage, holding the whole nation hostage, withholding the silver and the gold. [00:24:18] And God is saying, it's mine. It's a mine to release. You will release it. So those are the kind of things that we're called to do. And you may feel like, who am I? I'm. [00:24:28] I get it. I feel the same way. I am too small. But all I know is I have Christ within me and he is not too small. I have the same Christ that some huge. Like Billy Graham had. You had the same Jesus and the same Holy Spirit living inside of you as the biggest prophet on the face of the earth right now. And so if God, he wants you to know that you have such a big part as just a bigger part as anyone else right now. He wants his people, their face praying and interceding before his throne. [00:24:59] But how can you do that if you are so scared all the time about your own life and you're living in a very narrow way where all you see is, how am I going to survive? How am I going to survive? What am I going to do? I have all these problems. I'm in poverty. I can't do this. So God wants to take that off of you, okay? You're not in poverty. That's a lie. [00:25:19] You have what you need because you have him. [00:25:23] You're not alone. He's with you. He's given you the ability to get wealth. Scripture says, and I release that over you if you feel like I'm so poor and I don't know, I'm just going to release over you right now. You have been given by the spirit of God the ability to get wealth. He will give you ideas, he will give you favor. He will give you opportunities. [00:25:43] All you have to do is lean into him and listen and obey. Listen and obey. It's that easy. [00:25:49] So here we are. [00:25:52] God is saying, I want to use you in a bigger capacity to partner with you, to intercede and to pray for the nation, for your state, for your family and friends, your church, your area, the world, whatever he calls you to. I think people are called to different realms of prayer. [00:26:07] Some people are called to more like world, like the entire world. [00:26:11] Some people are called to the nation, some people are called to the state, locally, whatever. You know, the church. I think we're all given these specific assignments. And how are you going to do your assignment and pray? Because we're all called to pray, by the way. It's not just like four people that are called the intercession. It's the entire body of Christ. [00:26:30] It will happen because he said it will happen. He said his house is that his father's house is a house of prayer. And then revelation. He talks about how these things came to pass because the church was praying. It doesn't say exactly like that, but it is in the revelation that it was the prayers of the saints that brought about the will of God in the end. Well, what does that mean for us right now? Because we're living pretty close to the end, y'. All. So I hope I'm getting you fired up about your role. And so stop saying things like, you don't matter and you don't have a place and you're not very important. Those are all lies. Stop saying it. That's not who you are. You are important. You have a role. God wants to use you, but he wants you to know that you're blessed and you have everything you need. So now if you know, I have everything I need, I'm blessed by the hand of God. I've got the favor of God. I've got the peace of God. He's leading me. He's guiding me. He's protecting me. [00:27:23] Why do I need to constantly pray about my own protection, my own needs? Why does that need to always be the focus? God's like, no, I want to call you up higher to something more important than just praying. That way I'm not Saying you shouldn't pray that way. But there's a bigger thing at play here. There's a bigger story going on than just us personally. It's the entire fight for the souls of the people of the earth. [00:27:49] And God wants to bring you up to the level of where you realize that you have authority and power, that you're already blessed, so you don't have to worry about your needs and all this stuff. God's gonna take care of you now. You can start to get down to business and start to pray and release the words of God that he's given you and the assignment he's given you. See, these are all distractions. These are all distractions. When you worry about money, when you worry about how am I gonna do this, how I'm gonna do that, when you worry about being alone, when you worry about, I don't know, whatever it is you're worried about, you know, the world around you and all this stuff, those are all distractions. [00:28:24] They're literally all of them are distractions. All you need to be concerned with is interacting with the Lord, the Holy Spirit and letting him talk to you. He will calm you down. First of all, he wants to give you peace. He is peace. [00:28:37] He is our peace. Jehovah Shalom. He's our peace. [00:28:40] But he wants you to step into your assignment. It's time for the body of Christ to step into our assignments. It's time to stop putting it off on pastors, evangelists, prophets, teachers, whatever, like it's their job. No, it's all of our job. It's all of our job to do the work of God in the kingdom of God, to pray, to intercede, to release the words of God. We're all supposed to be doing this, and if we don't all do it, it's not going to work. It's that important. [00:29:07] But that was. I kind of got off on something, but I felt like that what the Lord wanted me to say to you today, I hope that you heard that in a heart of love, a spirit of love, because I would never, ever come in a different way. [00:29:20] I just want you to realize that you have value and that you are capable way more than you realize that God's blessing is already on you. You just got to open your eyes to it, and you've got to walk in it and you've got to declare it over your life. God has more for you. [00:29:37] And the more it's not just about you, it's about blessing other people. Because as you begin to realize how Blessed you are, you're going to instinctively start giving away. And this is the key to the kingdom of God, is generosity. When we start really seeing the things the way God sees them, we start to give more. We start to have. We have more peace. Obviously, we give away what we have. We have peace, we have joy, we have all the things, patience, all the things that are the fruit of the spirit. We have those offering in our life. And we're able to give that in a way where people. People are like, whatever she has, I need that. [00:30:12] And that's where God wants you to walk and me to walk. So I'm going to. We're at 30 minutes. I didn't mean to. Man, I can't believe I talked that long. [00:30:20] And I'm an introvert, y'. All. [00:30:23] I'm going to read to you Psalm 91, and I'm going to read to you in the Passion, and then I'm going to pray us out after I do that. [00:30:30] So this is Psalm 91, the passion translation. When you and when you abide under the shadow of Shaddai, you are hidden in the strength of God most High. High. He's the hope that holds me and the stronghold to shelter me. The only God for me. In my great confidence, he will rescue you from every. [00:30:49] Listen to this. He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy. Did it say some. No, it said every hidden trap of the enemy. And he will protect you from false accusation in any deadly curse. Did it say that the deadly curse would never try to come? No, it said that he would protect you from any deadly curse. [00:31:13] So we just call all curses nullified in the name of Jesus. [00:31:17] They are not welcome here. We speak the blood of Jesus over any curse that's tried to be released against us. [00:31:24] His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. [00:31:29] I want you to think about that. Just envision that with your mind. His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. [00:31:37] You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm. You will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night, nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you. Don't fear a thing. Whether by night or by day, demonic danger will not trouble you. Nor will the powers of evil be launched against you. [00:32:06] Even in a time of disaster with thousands and thousands being killed, you will remain unscathed and unharmed. You will be a spectator as the wicked perish in judgment. For they will be paid back for what they have done. [00:32:23] When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High, our secret hiding place. [00:32:30] We will always be shielded from harm. [00:32:34] How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us? [00:32:39] God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go, defending you from all harm. If you walk into a trap, they'll be there for you and keep you from stumbling. You'll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness, trampling every one of them beneath your feet. For here is what the Lord has spoken to me. Because you loved me, delighted in me, and have been loyal to my name, I will greatly protect you. I will answer your cry for help every time you pray. And you will feel my presence in your time of trouble. I will deliver you and bring you honor.
